Randolph has met each of the four Texas Education Agency performance standards: student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness. Curriculum Randolph High School offers a multi-level curriculum within a differentiated learning community. Course content is aligned with the state mandated Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. Core academics in English language arts, math, social studies, and science are available with increased rigor through Advanced Placement, and Dual Credit course offerings. A variety of elective courses are available including career technology, business and social sciences. Special education, ESL, and 504 programs are available to students. Special education resources are available through core academic courses. Schedule RHS follows a 7-period a day schedule. Each class meets daily for 50 minutes. Transcripts reflect a weighted GPA. The criteria for identifying the highest ranking student shall be calculated from each student’s earned grade average from grade 9 through the 5th sixweek grading period of grade 12. High school credit awarded in middle school is exempt from rank calculations. All other courses except dance team, cheerleading, independent study and physical education shall be included in the calculation for class rank. Students receive 8 additional points toward the calculation of grade point average upon successful completion of courses identified as Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, and International Baccalaureate.
