Braem Al Islam Class: Boys and Girls (5-7 years) **Arabic Session: They revised all of the old letters by using flash cards We introduced a new letter sound غ We gave examples of words starting and containing the new sound غ , مغرب غراب,غيمة, They practised the new letter and the old letters with play dough. The alphabet letters that have been taken so far are: ث, ب, ت, خ, ج, ح, د, ذ, م, ر, ز, ص, ض, س, ش, , غ, ع **Qur’an: The children with Ansa Heba were working on Surat Al-Doha الضحى The children with Ansa Cherine and Ansa Shifaa were working on the ayahs of Surat Al-Ikhlas, Al-Fatiha and Al-Nass. The group with Ansa Mouna have also been learning Surat Al- Doha ()الضحى. **Islamic Studies The children took a general revision of the Islamic Pillars. An explanation was given about the first Pillar of Islam( Shahada) **Activities: As an activity, the children have been given their Quran Charts and they stuck them on colourful cards to decorate them. **Weekly tasks for parents: It is very important for the children to write and practise the Arabic alphabet letters that they have already learnt and try to highlight them when they read Qur’an. NEW QURAN PLANNERS have been given to the children, so please read Qur’an with your child for 10 minutes+ and fill in the Quran planner as appropriate. Please work with your children on learning the 5 pillars of Islam. Try to explain the meaning of Shahada. For those students whose tongue is not Arabic, I recommend that you download the Ayat ( )آياتApp or ‘The Quran House’ ِapp if you want your children to enhance their Quran reading with Tajweed. Petals of Islam: (7-9) **Quran Ansa Faida carried on the new Surah, Al-Alaq, with the girls. They have been learning five more new ayahs. Girls have to practise the first 10 Ayahs with Tajweed at home every day for at least 10minutes+ and try to memorise it. **Feqh Ansa Faida carried on talking about the sixth pillar of the Pillars of Faith which is the Belief in Fortunate and Unfortunate Fate. What does it mean? How could the Muslims benefit from this belief? ** Syrah: Ansa Faida continued to talk in Syrah about building the Prophets’ Mosque. The First Mua’thin Bilal AlHabashi and how he has been chosen to do this job. She talked about the people of Medina (Al-Ansar) and how they supported and helped the Prophet Mohammad and his companions from Mecca. **Activities: The Girls were greatly practising the song ))وصف النبي المصطفى. The girls are actually doing very well and enjoyed the drama. It would be a good idea if they could practise it more at home. As the talking was about the Prophet Mohammad’s Mosque, the girls have been given colourful cards to draw a Mosque. Ansa Faida read to the girls the story of Prophet Adam which was enjoyable. **Weekly tasks for parents: Please encourage your daughter to truthfully fill in the weekly task in the sketch pad provided. Please ask your kids to keep their sketch pads clean and tidy and to not use it for something else Work with them on practising the new ayahs with Tajweed. Try to talk to them about the Belief in the Fortunate and Unfortunate Fate. I recommend that the girls read about the stories of the Prophet that are mentioned in the Quran from a trustful website or other resources. Note: ** Shortly, we will have longer days and we will have Maghreb Salat during the session. Could you please ask your kids to perform Wudhu at home to perform Salat at the Academy since we are aiming not to make any mess in the school toilets? **Please provide your girls with headscarves in each session, as we encourage them to wear them during Qur’an session. Ahebaa Allah Class: Girls (10+) **Qur'an: Ansa Zainab read with the girls 5 new ayahs up to ayah 25 from Surat Al – Nazeat ()النازعات Now the girls have to practise the 25 Ayahs with Tajweed at home every day for at least 10minutes+ **Feqh Ansa Zainab carried on talking about the fifth pillar of the Pillars of Faith which is the Belief in Judgement day and Life after Death. She talked about the stage of being in the grave and Barzakh, in addition to the questions that will be asked to all people in their graves. Also, Ansa Zainab talked about how the human mind is limited to consider all the truths but we have to believe because Allah has commanded us to do so. Also, there is a lot of evidence which tells us that Life after death is a fact and we have to accept it. **Syrah Ansa Zainab talked to the girls about starting the Da’waa outside Mecca. How the Awes and Khazraj people of Medina cooperated with the Prophet Mohammad and supported him. **Stars in the Prophets Orbit Please ask your girls to read and prepare for the next companion bibliography. ** Activities: The girls practised the Onshoda (Ya Nabee Salam Aleka) يا نبي سالم عليك **Weekly tasks for parents: Please encourage your girl to truthfully fill in the weekly task in the sketch pad provided. Encourage them to read about the Day of Judgement and how the believers prepare themselves for that day. The girls have to read another chapter from the book, “STARS IN THE PROPHET’S ORBIT,” so they can be ready for the discussion on Friday the 13th March 2015. Please make sure that the girls bring their book for the next talk. Fetyan Al-Islam: Boys (8-11) Boys in Ansa Asmaa’s Class were doing a general revision in all subjects. **Qur'an: Ansa Asmaa read through all the Ayahs from Surah ( النازعاتAl- Nazeat) that have been given so far. The boys have to practise these Ayahs with Tajweed at home every day for at least 10minutes+. **Feqh Ansa Asmaa did a whole revision for the Pillars of Belief A quiz has been given to test the knowledge that the kids have attained so far. ** Hadith Ansa Asmaa explained to the children that the Hadith that talks about kindness towards an animal when a woman has been entered to hell because she was abusing a cat.
