A restaurant in Damascus played host to two extreme
guests this week. The world's tallest man, 24- years old
Ghulam Shabeer, who is 255 cm tall, weighs 170kg and
wears a size 95 shoe, enjoyed a meal with the world's
shortest man, Qamar Ali, who is 95 cm tall, weighs 20
kg and is of the same age .They are both from Pakistan.
Both men were delighted to return to Syria for the third
time, and praised the hospitality of the Syrian people.
The restaurant invited the pair to encourage local
tourism, especially for children.
Ghulam Shabeer shared with the press that although he
enjoys occasions like this, everyday life can be difficult
for the world's tallest man. He is unable to travel by
plane and instead must travel in a specially- designed
car. He needs large amounts of food and ten meters of
cloth to make a suit. Qamar Ali said he faces few
difficulties in comparison, and is now popular dancer
on Pakistan television.
Chemically speaking caffeine was first extracted from
plants in its pure form in 1820. But now, it can be made
in the laboratory. Caffeine is an odourless, slightly
bitter solid. Caffeine dissolves in water and alcohol and
has crystals that look like needles. When caffeine is
