TSWASA WATER SCHEME
[PMG note: graphics not included, please email
info@pmg.org.za]
TSWASA WATER SCHEME
BW manages, operates and maintains bulk raw water supply from
the Molatedi dam to Gaborone in Botswana.
We pump 5,221 Ml per annum, (average of 14.3 Ml per day) into
the Gaborone Dam
We release 7,400 Ml (average of 20.3 Ml per day) of irrigation
water released to Derdepoort Irrigation Board down-stream in the
Marico river as the scheme’s secondary function.
The releases were lower than last year because of the
restriction imposed for six months as per TOCC
agreement.
