Work on modals…make an instructional Public service Announcment using modal verbs…you
must use all 6 modal verbs on playing with matches (or a lighter) 1. You should talk to the
audience (yall) 2. You should give role-play example (I, you), 3. third person explanations
(er,sie,es,sie) and 4. A summation about us (we) you must use each modal verb at least once in
the whole thing.
Turn in when done/at end of class, make sure they are all identical!

type it up. (use modals to talk about what she wanted to do, wasn’t allowed to do, etc.) show

Behavior of children…an opinion piece
You wil create an opinion piece to be presented in German (you may have cliff notes) about a
bad behavior of children/young people, what they do, why they do it, what needs to be done
about it.

Conversations….give students prompts…time to practice the three prompts.
They will then be divided into groups of 4 and set in the middle of the room for a conversation.
At times this will be painful, slow and silent. Don’t try and just talk to talk, have a conversation
and respond to one another.
