Aims This course provides an opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of financial management through the critical analysis of a series of short cases, designed to produce a more informed knowledge and practical application of financial management to different corporate scenarios. Through the critical analysis of these cases, the diagnosis of problems and the formulation of financial management solutions the student will develop new insights into what constitutes effective financial management in an organisation. This course will encourage students to understand the importance of the relationship between finance and organisations’ strategic objectives. 16. Communication, Numeracy & ICT The critical analysis of case studies will develop students’ intellectual and professional competencies by analysing and evaluating evidence, logical reasoning and practical applications.
