15. Aims
This course provides an opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of financial management through the critical analysis of a series of short cases, designed to
produce a more informed knowledge and practical application of financial management to different corporate scenarios. Through the critical analysis of these cases, the
diagnosis of problems and the formulation of financial management solutions the student will develop new insights into what constitutes effective financial management in
an organisation. This course will encourage students to understand the importance of the relationship between finance and organisations’ strategic objectives.

Investment appraisal, financing and dividend decisions and the interrelationship between these decisions in meeting the short and long term cash requirements of a
company
Ethical consideration of the interests of shareholders and other stakeholders in investment, financing and dividend decisions
Business valuation theory and practice
