Economics can be divided into two major branches of the subjects: Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Microeconomics studies the decision-making of individual people and firms, and the interaction of those decisions in markets. Macroeconomics studies the national economy and the global economy as a whole. The topics include Gross Domestic Product, Inflation, Unemployment, Aggregate Supply and Aggregate Demand, Fiscal Policy, Monetary Policy and International Trade. Last semester we had studied Microeconomics, this semester we shall discuss the issues in Macroeconomics. 教學目標 1. 2. To familiarize students with the theory of Economics. (2011), Principles of Economics, 6th Edition, South-Western International Edition. Grade for the course will be based on quiz, recitation, exam and class performances. Teaching assistant will give recitations when it is necessary and you must also attend recitation. TA's office hours will be announced later. There will be one midterm exam plus one final exam. Exams will mainly cover the course materials (lecture and recitation) and the exact time and coverage of each exam will be announced in class. The final grade will be based on all exams.
