WorldShare Overview connecting people to transform lives Who we are WorldShare has a rich 70 year heritage. We are an Australian-based innovative, international Christian development and mission organisation that is part of a global affiliation. Our Mission To connect our supporters with our overseas partners in challenging regions by resourcing, enabling and encouraging them with their vision to bring ongoing spiritual, physical and social transformation to their own people. We are: a company limited by guarantee; income tax exempt charity; deductible gift recipient. Our new name From 1st March 2012 CNEC Partners International changed its name to: Why? • To align us with our overseas affiliates (WorldShare UK). • To provide greater clarity and simplicity as we seek to raise our profile and promote our partner ministries. Importantly, our mission remains unchanged. Our Symbol: • The Chinese character 'Ren' means 'people'. The character has been placed in a ring representing the world we live in. • The character divides the ring into three segments, representing the partnerships between WorldShare, Australia and overseas partners. Placing them together, symbolises how we are connecting people to share the love of God and transform the lives of people in His world. Financial model The FairShare financial model has been adopted from May 2012 to comply with ACFID (Australian Council for International Development) code of conduct guidelines. • This change means WorldShare now caps 8% of funds received for critical operations (among the lowest in Australia non-for-profits), and we are striving to reduce it. • The rest of the 92% of donations directly benefit the ministries of our overseas partners, including fundraising, project-related support and money sent overseas to support programs and services where help is most needed. • Because we are controlling the costs of critical operations, fundraising and projected-related support, the more supporters give, the more we can send overseas.
