EMPLOYMENT
From January 2006 to till date working as General Manager of Meghna Rubber Industries
Ltd. Bangladesh with assign responsibilities of looking after all production & marketing
related activities of company laying prime focus on followings:
a) Production Management: Direct, plan, organize & oversee all Production & Q.C related
activities of a Bicycle /Motorcycle/ Scooter Tyre & Tube manufacturing factory comprising c.
800 staffs producing 20,000 pcs tyre & 35,000 pcs tube per day. To run the plant efficiently,
giving maximum output with right quality, maintaining Environmental, Health, Safety &
Security compliances. Scheduling the production to meet short & long term goal, customer
specifications, lead time etc. Manage the team, ensure staffs are adequately trained and
ready to achieve objectives. Prepare the operational & capital budgets, keep the production
costs within budgets or lower by optimizing the resources & manpower. Comply with internal
rules and external legislation such as labor law, EN standards, Social Compliances, Local
operating procedures. etc. Control, discipline and motivate the staffs to seek for Continual
Improvement through identification & steady elimination of wastes in all unit/steps of
production. Manage long term planning, sourcing appropriate technology (like N2 curing, Anti
puncture tyre /tube etc.) & technologist from abroad for related new /developed/upgraded
products. Complaint handling of the marketed products and decide on corrective &
preventive actions where needed. Liaise /guide other factories of the Group producing Plastic
/PU bicycle part for ensuring timely delivery of quality material.. Ensuring proper & timely
maintenance, calibration, checking of all plant machinery through routine consultation with
plant engineers.
b)Quality Control & Compounding: Directly controlling all Q.C. activities through lab
chemists to ensure that all routing testing like Mechanical property testing, Rheomoter,
Mooney Viscosity, abrasion testing, Carbon dispersion, Ozone crack testing , Puncture
resistance(for Kevlar tyre & self sealant tube) etc. ware performed as per set Q.C. rule. Full
time liaise will QC/QA departments of customer like Raleigh (UK) & Halfords etc. for
complying with their requirements. Compounding /formulation are done under my controlled.
c) Sourcing of Raw material & Plant Machinery: Planning & Procurement of all imported
raw materials based on forecasted demands by maintaining continuous liaison with
Companies Like Exxon Chemicals, Dow, Bayer, FTC, Chi Mei, TSRC , Du Pont ,Phillips,
Birla , CSRC etc. Vendor selection & rating, purchasing services & consumable goods
locally, Import of all plant machinery for expansion /BMRE are also being controlled.
d) Marketing & Selling to International Markets: Liaise with marketing department &
customers to promote the sales of bicycle tyre & tube in the International Market. Boost up
marketing & establish direct relation with customers through regularly attending &
representing the company ( with stand ) in the International fairs like IFMA Cologne Show &
Munich Show of Germany, Taipei Bicycle show, Dubai Autumn fair, Istanbul tire show ,
Shanghai Bike show etc. Promote selling of Bicycle Plastic Saddle (PU), Paddle(TPR or
PP), Grip(TPR) etc.. Coordinate with concern factories, bank, shipper for ensuring the timely
shipment of goods & arranging all logistic by monitoring the activities of Shipping &
Distribution department.
e) Controlling Metal Pipe Factory: Looking after all activities of a fully Automatic MS
Pipe((15.9mm-50mm) production line ,Electroplating plant , metal pressing unit etc.
f) New Project Handling: Currently looking after the entire installation & commissioning
works of a new Plastic Hanger Factory (Meghna Mainetti Ltd.- a JB with Mainetti of Srilanka )
comprising 25set IM & 4 set VIM etc. initial stage.
From 01-01-2000 to 31-12-2005 serving as Assistant Manager (Production & Q.C.) in
Pacific Oil Company Ltd. (a lubricating oil Blending plant in Collaboration with AP Oil
International Ltd. Singapore, on technology transfer & licensing basis), Bangladesh.
Reporting to the General Manager performed following duties as over all In charge:
a) Production: Planning & production of all SINO (Singapore-Oil) brand Lube oil.
Manage/supervise the overall production keeping strict compliance with Formulations and
Production Procedures stipulated in Production manual. Prepare, follow up & strive to
achieve production targets. Operate the plant in cost effective manner, run the production
with zero accident and maintain the standard of safety & house keeping as per company &
corporate policy. Meet local Industrial Procedures/ requirements, rules, laws and regulations
b) Quality Control & Product Formulation: Controlling all Q.C. activities & supervising the
Lab Chemist. Performing all Quality Control Tests (like Viscosity, Viscosity Index, ASTM
Color, Flash Point, Pour Point, TAN & TBN by Potentiometric Titration, Water By Karl Fischer
Coulometer, etc.) to be performed on different types/grades blended lube oils, base oils and
additives. Ensuring all the blended products meets the respective specifications. Rectify the
product when it fails to meet the Specification. Perform the analysis needed for compliant
handling. Formulate new product & selection of additives. Analyzing, evaluating & creating
Production reports.
From 19-06-99 to 31-12-99 served as Site Manager in Pacific Oil Company Ltd during its
installation phase with the assigned responsibilities of:
Co-ordination/Supervision of installation, construction & commissioning works for
setting up a new Lubricant Plant: Co-ordination/Supervision of all activities in setting up a
new blending plant from inception to implementation, which involved the installation of the
Blend Control System, Filling & Packaging machines and the erection of piping network.
Liaise with civil, Mechanical & electrical contractors to explain them their respective job
scope as well as full time co-ordination with the contractors and the foreign Technical
Consultant to ensure that all works had been done strictly as per consultant’s design/advice.
After taking extensive training from foreign experts my duties was to start trial production.
Subsequently I trained the operators to make them able to work in the production process of
sophisticated blending plant.
From 30-03-91 to 04-01-97 served as Chemist in Standard Asiatic Oil Company Ltd. (an
Unit of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, BPC) Chittagong and performed following
responsibilities as overall in charge of Q.C. Department.
a) Production Supervision: Supervise the production of Castrol and BP (British Petroleum)
brands Lubricating oils under direct guidance of Factory Manager. Decanting of additive
drums through Drum Decanting system (DDS), exercising the special supervision for
ensuring that the correct amount of each additive is accurately weighed and adequately
blended into the base oil. Controlling the processing parameters like circulation/agitation
time, blending temperature, heating time etc.
b) Quality Control: Check the quality of all types/ grades of Castrol and BP brand lubricants
oil by performing routine tests like Viscosity, Viscosity Index, ASTM Color, Flash Point, Pour
Point, Water Crackle tests, etc. Check the quality of imported Lube Base Oil to ensure that
the supplied oil is in accordance with the specification set out by BPC. Certification of
blended product for recipient parties and preparation of Production Reports for MIS.

Attended a presentation on Basic Lubricant Knowledge Conducted by Technical Services
Department of AP Oil International from 9th March to 13th March 2001. Also completed
training courses under “Executive Development Program -EDP” and attended seminars on
ISO 9000, ISO14000 and Total Quality Management (TQM) organized by Chittagong
Chamber of Commerce and Industries during June to November 1996.

Production Management
-Supervising a team of c.800 personnel (25 nos. supervisory level, remaining on worker
level) including, Factory Managers, Plant engineers, Chemist, VAT Manager, Store Keeper,
etc. in current job and also through handing the production force in 18 years of my carrier.
Plastic blending, Testing and Characterization and Production
-Performing extensive mechanical, thermal and rheological properties testing of polymers &
polymer blends during research. Trained extensively on the operation of Extruder, Injection
moulding, Blow moulding, Compression moulding and PVC Thermoforming machines..
Performed various type of analytical, characterization and Quality control testes both within
academic & industrial environment. Experienced in operating DSC, FTIR, DMA, and GPC etc
Communication
- Effectively communicating & maintaining full time liaisons with all suppliers & overseas
customers for ensuring in time receive of raw materials & timely delivery of finished products.
Preparing Monthly Operational Reports for MIS. Dealing closely with the work force & solving

Management team & factory staff and updating Managing Director on regular basis.

and Polyamide using an interfacial agent.
b) Project title for M.Sc.(Chemistry): Ceric Ion Initiated Graft Copolymerization of Methyl
Methacrylate onto Cellulose. Part of this work was published in Chittagong University
Studies, Science 9III-Vol.15
