Тема: The magic world of music.
Мета Ознайомити учнів з темою уроку. Ввести нову лексику. Тренувати
у вживанні нових ЛО. Практикувати учнів в аудіювання тексту з
метою отримання загального уявлення та з метою точного й повного розуміння усієї інформації, що в ньому міститься.
Навчати висловлюванню за змістом прослуханого тексту.
Підготувати до самостійного висловлювання про свої музичні
уподобання, улюбленого співака, музичну групу.
Розвивати мислення учнів, навички самостійної й творчої роботи.
розвивати інтерес учнів до вивчення англійської мови та розуміння
важливості володіння іноземною мовою
Виховувати інтерес до музики.
Тип уроку: комбінований.
Обладнання: підручник, текст для читання “The Beatles”, запис пісні
“Angels”, магнітофон, анкета“ Are You a Lover of Music”,

Aim.
T: At the previous lessons we spoke about musical instruments and different kinds of
concerts. At this lesson we are going to speak about the role of music in your life,
your favourite musical styles and melodies. We will read the text, listen to the
songs So, the topic of our lesson is:
“The magic world of music”

T: Where do people usually listen to the music?
P: at home, in the streets ,in cars.

P1: Music makes me think of people and places we love.

T: All right! There are different musical styles. What styles do you know?

P1: Rap or hip-hop is a style of African-American music, in which the words are
spoken, not sung.
P2: Folk music is traditional music, or “roots music”. It was considered as music of
the lower classes.
P3: Pop music is a style of popular music. It is any form of music which is popular
and can include any style.
P4: Blues is traditional Black American music. “Blue” means “sad”, and many blues
songs are about how hard life is.
P5: Jazz is a musical style that originated at the beginning of the 20-th century in
African American communities in the Southern United States. It was born out of
a mix of African and European music traditions.
P6: Rock'n'Roll is a style of popular music that originated in the United States
primarily from a combination of African American blues, country, jazz and gospel
music.
P7: Classical music is the art music produced in the traditions of secular music.
T: Listen to four pieces of music and guess their styles.
What was the first style,... the second, … the third, … the fourth? (Rap, jazz, rock'
n'roll, classical music).
Well done! What composers of classical music do you know? (Shopen, Bach,
Shubert, Mozart). Do you know any facts about them?
P1: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was one of the most popular composers. He was born
in Salzburg, Austria. Mozart composed over 600 works. He composed from the
age of five and performed before European royalty.
P2: Ludwig van Beethoven is one of the world's greatest composers. At the peak of
his career he began lose his hearing. But it didn't interfere with his ability to
compose. He wrote one of his most powerful compositions – the Ninth
Symphony – after he became completely deaf.

T: The Romanian composers Marius Moga and Andrei Ropcea are joining their forces
for a major dance project - Morandi. The group’s name derives from the first two letters
of Moga’s name and Ropcea’s nickname, Randi, creating Morandi.
I propose you to listen to the song «Angels»and fill in the gaps. There are

R: Today I have a surprise for you. Meet one of the members of the group «Morandi»
Morandi: Hello, my friends! Thank you very much!
R: Why do you name your group «Morandi»
M: The group’s name derives from the first two letters of Moga’s name and Ropcea’s
nickname, Randi, creating Morandi.
R: Do you play left-handed with your guitar?
M: Yes, I do. As I am left-handed, I find right-handed guitars difficult to play.
R:How many songs have you released?
M: Morandi has released 3 albums. Reverse 2005 (the first album), became a really big
hit with totally unique sound
What was your first song?
R:What about your second album?
M: The second album is called “Mind Fields”, and they kept the same original sound,
really impressing the fans with the hits “Falling Asleep” and “A la lujeba”.|The third
album is called “N3xt”,and already has 2 singles called “Afrika” and “Angels”.

M:I am the author of 'Angels'.

The Beatles.
British musical group appeared in the 1960s. The principal members were Paul
McCartney (in full Sir James Paul McCartney; born June 18, 1942, Liverpool,
England), John Lennon (born February 25, 1943, Liverpool), and Ringo Starr (by name
of Richard Starkey; born July 7, 1940, Liverpool).
First they performed together in Liverpool in 1957. The group played American
rock-and-roll. Throughout the winter and the spring of 1963, the Beatles continued their
rise to fame. Those four young men were loved by thousands of people especially girls.
A new word “Bitlomania” appeared in the vocabulary. Their songs: pop ballad
“Yesterday”, hard rock song “Tomorrow Never Knows”, folk tune “Norwegian Wood”
and many others were extremely popular. They were awarded by the Queen. To great
regret of their fans the Beatles parted in 1971. In 1980 a big tragedy happened: John
Lennon was killed. Today the Beatles are as popular as they were many years ago.
