EMPLOYMENT
September 2008 – Current
General Partner with Offshore Rigmovers International. Rig Mover, Tow Master, Marine Safety
Advisor. Associate Instructor at Dutton’s Navigation & Rig Moving School.
February – August 2008. Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. Barge Supervisor/Rig Mover on
KFels Mod V, Enhanced B Class Ocean Shield. Involved during shipyard construction.
Designated Rig Mover upon departure from Singapore for first drilling project offshore
Terennganu, Malaysia. Authored procedures for the rig move, including departure from
Singapore, transit to location, final positioning, sequential preloading, jacking up to air gap, and
setting Self Positioning Fixation System (SPFS).
December 2004 – February 2008. Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. Barge Supervisor/Rig
Mover on Friede-Goldman L-780, Mod. 0 (Ocean Heritage and Ocean Sovereign). Note: I
returned to field duty by choice to live closer to my son following a divorce.
July 1996 – December 2004. Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. Marine Supervisor at corporate
office in Houston, Texas. Responsibilities included record keeping, database management and
maintenance, writing procedures, moving Jack-ups, supervising anchor chain load-outs for SemiSubmersibles and attending Semi-Submersibles for rig moves and/or incident investigations.
“Hands-off” involvement in Semi-Submersible procedures and planning for mooring chain/wire
load-sharing AHTV’s, pre-set moorings, etc.
October 1995 – July 1996. Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. Ballast Control Operator for three
months on Semi-Submersible (Ocean Prospector) before being fast-tracked for promotion as
Barge Supervisor. Barge Supervisor on Semi-Submersible (Ocean Quest) during major shipyard
upgrade.
December 1994 – August 1995. Atwood Oceanics, Inc. Barge Supervisor/Rig Mover on
Submersible Slot design rig (Richmond).
June 1983 – October 1994. Sedco/Sedco-Forex. Watchstander (Night Barge Engineer) and six
months as Assistant Driller, six months as Driller on Jackups, Barge Engineer/Rig Mover on
Jackups (Sedco 150, Sedco 251, Trident IX, Trident VI, Trident VIII) and Semi-Submersibles
(Sedco H and Sedco I).
February 1981 – April 1983. Zapata Offshore Corp. Entry level cleaner/painter, roustabout,
floorman and Ballast Control Operator and Barge Supervisor on a Semi-Submersible.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Regulatory record-keeping and all responsibilities associated with the position of Barge
Engineer/Rig Mover on Jack-ups, Submersibles and Semi-Submersibles.
Skilled and experienced with RPD Management/Mitigation.
Proficient with all Microsoft Office Applications.
