Youth Tour
Sawnee EMC is accepting applications for the EMC Washington Youth Tour. Students 16 years or

Seniors planning on enrolling in college in the Fall are eligible to apply. Student must demonstrate
financial need, leadership skills, extracurricular activities, academic performance, and scholastic
awards, and community service. Completed application, letters of recommendation, and a copy of
the 2011 FAFSA SAR report must be submitted. Award amount is $5,000. Applications are available
in the counseling office.
Seniors planning on enrolling in college in the Fall are eligible to apply. Student must be planning
on majoring in the education field. Students must be in good standing at WFHS. Applications are
available in the counseling office. Award amount $1,000.
Seniors planning on enrolling in college in the Fall and have a 3.3 gpa are eligible to apply. One
student will be selected from WFHS. The applicant should be of sound moral character, and have
been involved in community and extracurricular activities. $500
Seniors with at least a 2.5 gap and those who participate in healthy lifestyle activities and
extracurricular involvement. Students must submit completed applications with recommendation
letter and essay. The scholarship amount will be determined by the amount of contestants that
enter the 5K race held at Cumming City Park on May 14th.

WFHS Seniors only are eligible to apply to this scholarship. Students must have a 2.5 wtd gpa.
Applications must be complete with all required documentation.
Students age 15-20 are eligible to apply. Student must be accepted for admissions to a college or
university. Student must have a father, mother, or natural guardian who works full time with
police, sheriff, or fire department. Parents may also be volunteer members of the fire department.
Students must submit completed application with all required documentation. Applications are

Seniors who will be attending University of Georgia in the Fall are eligible to apply. Students should
demonstrate financial need, have record of extracurricular, be of good character, contributor to the
community, and must provide two letters of recommendation.
Seniors are eligible to apply. One scholarship will be awarded to one WFHS student that is planning
on pursuing a degree in the helping profession and meets the following criteria: 2.8 minimum gpa,
3 completed essays, and submits a completed essay.
Juniors and Seniors are eligible to apply. Students must submit an essay on one of the following

complete an application and provide all of the supporting documentation to be considered for this
scholarship. Two awards will be given to area seniors.
Seniors planning on attending college in the fall are eligible to apply. Students must be a FC
resident for at least one year. Selection will be made on leadership, academic performance,
participation in activities, and financial need. Students pursuing a law related field will be given
preference.
