ADMISSIONS RECRUITER Minnesota State University is accepting applications to fill an Admissions Recruiter position in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The University: Minnesota State University Moorhead offers 76 undergraduate majors with 172 different emphases and options, 9 pre-professional studies programs, 10 graduate degree programs, and 11 graduate certificate programs. The majors include 19 areas of teacher licensure preparation. Our professional programs are grounded in the liberal arts, designed to provide a broad base of knowledge and cultural themes. MSUM enrolls approximately 7,000 students from 37 states and 56 countries. MSUM is part of the Tri-College University, an educational consortium that includes Concordia College, a private college in Moorhead, and North Dakota State University in adjacent Fargo, North Dakota. The Position: The Admissions Recruiter position is responsible for all phases of recruitment, admissions and enrollment functions within assigned regional and national territory. A primary aspect of the position is to develop and sustain relationships with high school guidance counselors and community college transfer coordinators to attract and recruit prospective freshmen and transfer students. The position reports to the Director of Admissions. Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree and at least one or more years of customer service experience. Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, effective oral and written skills; ability to make presentations to large and small groups from diverse populations; possess initiative and high energy; excellent ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment independently and as an effective team member; must be computer literate; extensive travel is required that includes driving long distances that requires overnight stays; evening and weekend hours are required when necessary; a valid driver’s license is essential; must have ability to lift, load and unload recruitment publications and promotional items.
