INTRODUCTION TO LOCATION SCOUTING NOVAC:BR is now accepting applications for Baton Rouge’s Introduction to Location Scouting, a two-day film industry workforce training scheduled for December 13 -14, 9am – 4pm at NOVAC:BR’s office at The Creative Bloc in downtown Baton Rouge. The Baton Rouge Film Industry Workforce Training Program is designed for Louisiana residents seeking immediate employment and long-term careers in the growing local film industry. Accepted applicants will be trained in the basics of how to become a supporting member of the Locations department of a production. The course will be taught by a well-known Locations Manager familiar with both the Baton Rouge and New Orleans industry. Instruction will be given on how the department functions, paperwork, contracts, scouting and other responsibilities from prep, to production and finally wrap. Baton Rouge Introduction to Location Scouting is a competitive program with limited enrollment.
