The Verb Tener
Objective: The student will practice conjugating the verb tener, tener que,
and use expressions with the verb tener and find it’s English translation.
Follow the directions below to complete this station activity.
Complete the activity handout based on
grammar presentation of the verb tener and
vocabulary expressions with the verb tener.
Students may also reference the Spanish English
Dictionary App for sentence translations.
1. Open the QR Reader application once you
have completed your activity handout.
2. Walk around the classroom and scan the QR
codes at each station and put the
corresponding number of the QR station that
matches the answer you chose.
3. Lastly scan the QR code next to your blank to
see if it matches with the number of the station
you chose, to check to make sure your answer
is correct. You will also find the correct
translations of the sentences with the QR

Remember the verb tener means “to have”
When used with expressions it means “to be”
