Capernaum Buddy Trip to YL’s Lost Canyon

What: What is Capernaum Young Life? It is Young Life for kids with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. The goal of Capernaum ministries is to give
kids with disabilities the same chance to hear the Gospel and experience the gift of life as traditional kids. We have a week at Young Life properties in
each division set aside just for them to experience much of what other kids would also do at Young Life camp but at a different pace and with more
focused support to meet their needs. This trip lets them also “have the best week of their life” in a way that fits them best. It is an incredible option for
them as campers and those from our group who go and become their “buddy” for the week sharing time with them at meals, free time, in club, and
activities. Each Capernaum group will bring along their own leaders who will help them with details of life in the cabin and situations where they might
need someone who knows them personally and their particular needs. Buddy groups will meet nightly through of the week to share about their day and
refill their hearts. It is a very fulfilling and eye opening experience to participate in, learn more about themselves, and see the world differently.
Who: JA, & Prep high school folks who hoping to serve as buddies for Capernaum camp week to give Capernaum campers the best week of their life.
When: Depart by plane July 3rd morning, spend 2 nights in hotel before & after Grand Canyon visit, see Grand Canyon July 4th, serve as buddy July 510 & return by plane night of July 10th.
Where: Lost Canyon Young Life camp located in Williams, Arizona & prior to going to camp we visit the Grand Canyon for a day..

Cost: For $1450 you receive plane flight, baggage fee for 1 bag under 50 lbs., bus transportation, 2 night hotel stay in Williams for Grand Canyon visit,
5 nights at Young Life’s Lost Canyon, linens, towels, & food while at camp, breakfast morning of departure. You will need extra money for food en route,
& while visiting Grand Canyon area, along with snacks in the snack shop, and maybe even a T-shirt, hat, or other items from the camp store.
Transportation: Flying July 3rd morning and returning July 10th night. Will travel in charter bus to & from airport, hotel, & Grand Canyon.
How do I sign up? Simply make a deposit of $600 online at ms19.younglife.org for the LOST CANYON TRIP or send a check by US Mail made out to
Young Life to get on the list. First time buddies get a window of priority sign ups until November 17th. Be sure to sign up ASAP!!! Previous
high school age buddies are able to sign up beginning November 17 until the trip fills. November 17th on spots are on first come, first serve
basis.
Payment Info:
Deposits are refundable until January 15, 2015. The remaining balance and all forms will be due April 1st.

Cancellations: We are aware changes occur but YL is also held financially responsible to secure camp spots, transportation, & leaders ahead of time.

Refunds for deposits will be returned until January 15th and balances paid will be refunded until April 1st.

Flying separately from the group is not an option due to need to coordinate times in case of delays or issues that may arise in midst of travel. We need
keep all of our group together on the same schedule since we use charter bus and have no way to accommodate issues that may arise if flights do not
arrive on time or match up with our travel schedule.
