Keywords: CLAWAR, support technologies, locomotion, navigation, guidelines, manuscript, submission. 1 INTRODUCTION This document provides guidelines to potential authors and serves as a template for preparing a draft paper manuscript for consideration to be published in the CLAWAR Journal. Please read the instructions carefully, as this will make the review process much faster and easier. 2 PAGE AND PARAGRAPH SETUP AND MARGINS Please format paper A4 with margins, top = bottom = left = right = 2cm. Use Times New Roman 11pt font. Use Times New roman 14pt boldface for the paper title, and place on centred paragraph with 1cm indentation on left and right. Use Times New roman 12pt for authors’ names, affiliations, and corresponding authors email address, and place on centred paragraph with 1cm indentation on left and right. Use Times New Roman 11pt for abstract and keywords, and place on justified paragraph with 1cm indentation on left and right. Place 12pt and 24pt paragraph spacings before and after keywords respectively. Apart from paper title, authors names and affiliations, abstract and keywords, which are on single column, all other parts of the paper should be in double-column format (8cm each column width and 1cm space between the columns). Type text on at-least 12pt line spacing, leftflash first paragraph of a section/sub-section, and indent first line of second and subsequent paragraphs by 0.6cm. Justify paragraphs on both side. 3 SECTION AND SUBSECTION HEADINGS Use uppercase Times New Roman 11pt font for section heading, place on left 0.7pt hanging paragraph. Place 12pt paragraph spacing before and 6pt paragraph spacing after the section heading. An exception to this is that no paragraph spacing is needed before Section 1 3.1 Subsection Heading Use uppercase and lowercase Times New Roman 11pt italic font for subsection heading, place on left 0.8cm hanging paragraph. Place 12pt paragraph spacing before the subsection heading. 3.1.1 Sub-subsection heading Use uppercase and lowercase Times New Roman 11pt font for sub-subsection heading, place on left 1cm hanging paragraph. Place 12pt paragraph spacing before the sub-subsection heading. 4 TABLES Centre tables and use the paragraph text style for the inline text of the table. Use Times New Roman 10pt for table caption. Place the caption at top of the table on centre paragraph with 12pt paragraph spacing before and 3pt paragraph spacing after the caption. Place the caption at bottom of the figure on centre paragraph with 3pt paragraph spacing before and 12pt paragraph spacing after the caption. Leave 12pt paragraph spacing before the figure and after the figure caption. Please refer to figures as Figure 1, Figure 2, etc. Figure 1: Humanoid model 6 EQUATIONS Use the equations editor to type in equation and associated symbols appearing in the text. Refer to equations as, equation (1), equation (2), etc. 7 REFEREMCES Cite references like [1]. For multiple citations you can use concatenated formats, e.g. [1-3]. Separate individual citations by comma, e.g. [1, 3, 4]. References should be written in the references section in the order they firstly appear in the document. 8 FOOTNOTES Although footnotes are not preferred (use inline parentheses instead), there are cases that you might need them. An example of using a footnote is given as this1. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Add any acknowledgements after the conclusions section. The section title should not be numbered, and use the heading style, but non-hanging left paragraph. APPENDIX A Include any appendix before references section. The section title should not be numbered, and use the heading style, but non-hanging left paragraph. 1 This is an example of a footnote. REFERENCES List of references should appear last in the paper. The section title should not be numbered, and use the heading style, but non-hanging left paragraph. Use 0.8cm hanging paragraphs with 3pt spacing between successive references.
