Deacons Serving: Anthony Robinson—Worship Leader Curtis White—Offertory Christmastide Emmanuel—the sense of the Presence of God—has debuted among us, marking the 1st day of Christmastide, December 25th. Now, joyfully we progress with wise men or shepherds to behold Him who has come. We mark His debut to the world on Epiphany—January 6th, being the 12th day of Christmas, which commemorates the manifestation of God to the world through Jesus that culminates with Easter. The radiant colors—gold, red, white—symbolize the revelation of Him who is here but not like us and who dares to be here with us! movement is from cradle to cross to crown. Beyond Epiphany, once the Presence is recognized, Kingdom-business surges like never before, as the longing and sin-sickened world appreciates, even accommodates, the L ORD . Now, acknowledge the Almighty! We are in the presence of Majesty! Come, let us adore Him! Prayer for Christmastide O Thou who art Eternal, the Creator of heaven and earth: Thank You for showing Thy grace and mercy to us through Jesus of Nazareth our Master. Thank You for coming to us in Thy truth and granting us fellowship in Thy Spirit. O L ORD , as we celebrate this season of Thy coming, as we remember Thy manifestation among us in human life, re-birth us, strengthen our resolve, and re-kindle Thy Power within us, that we may behold Thy will and way, that we may be humble in our dealings with one another, that we may submit to Thee in sacrifice, and that we may serve Thee in compassion toward one another. Grant us a new glimpse of Thy glory and a greater guarantee of Thy grace, that we know that Thou art God and besides Thee there is none other. Touch us with the awe and majesty of Thy Presence, that we may welcome Thee, “His Coming” entertain Thy grace, and enjoy Thy glory among us. L Mark 1:14-15 that we may truly serve Thee and live with appreciation of Thee each day of our lives.
