Powerpoint Presentation Tips:
 Use dark fonts on light backgrounds for best readability. A second choice is light coloured fonts on dark
backgrounds. Ensure high contrast between the background and font colour.
 Use the same colours and fonts throughout the presentation. Templates help to make sure it all looks the
same.
 Use no more than one graphic per slide.
 Use size 18 font or larger to ensure it can be read.
 Use bulleted lists, not paragraphs or sentences.
 Follow the rule of 666: no more than six words per bullet, six bullets per slide, six word slides in a row
 Spell check and proofread your slides.
 Practice your presentation so you can talk to the audience rather than read straight from the slide.
