Course Description
The objective of this course is to provide an in-depth introduction to
all aspects of current computer networks. A wide range of topics
including cabling, signaling, serial, wide and local area networks,
network protocols and network operating systems in use today are
discussed.
Course Objective
After taking the course students have:
• a thorough knowledge regarding the basic principles of
communication networks
• the fundamentals of protocols and concepts of protocol
• Insights into fundamental motivations of different pragmatics of
current network solutions
• Introduction to practical aspects of data networks focusing on
internet protocol hierarchies

Telecom professionals working with the service provider (SPs),
