How much the tank bulges when product is added to the tank. This will make the Reference height to changes from R1 to Rn. This can be adjusted by a good accurate hand dipping at several levels. To correct a measurement error due to tank movement, a Special Correction Table can be added to the RTG. Before program a SCT into a RTG the error must be confirmed and equal form time to time when product is added or taken out from the tank. To monitoring this it needs a good hand dipping record. NOTE: Due to the API standard, Hand Dipping accuracy is + 3 mm. In good conditions with out damages, e.g. bends and nicks. Calibration of RTG: - Cone and Parabolic Antenna Gauges: The measurement must be distributed over at least half of the Tank Reference Height, R from bottom. - Still Pipe Gauge: The measurement must be distributed over the complete range of the tank. At least five of the measurements should be taken in the upper quarter of the measuring range and at least five in the bottom range. Ullage Distanc 1 Tank Verification: A record is needed over the hole range, both when filling and when unloading the tank.
