All of the factor loadings exceed .40 and have t-values greater than 4.5. A series of chi-square difference tests on the factor correlations provide evidence of discriminant validity. For example, the comparison of the two qualification scales produced %^A(1) = 48.2, p < .001, which suggests that these measures are distinct. The factor intercorrelations are shown in Table 1. The final step in the construct validation process consisted of computing reliability for each construct by using Joreskog's (1971) formula. As is shown in the Appendix, each of the measures displays satisfactory levels of reliability. In summary, the evidence suggests that our scales have adequate measurement properties. Next, the full structural model shown in Figure 1 was estimated. Six of the paths were insignificant (F5— >F4, F3^F4, F7^F2, and F8-^F2, F3, F4), and we proceeded to estimate a trimmed model without these paths… http://mywebspace.wisc.edu/rkamath what I do now • Behavioral economics and decision processes • Religion in an economic/material world • Transit infrastructure http://mywebspace.wisc.edu/rkamath teaching philosophy “is this going to be on the test?” stuff you can actually use ray’s section http://mywebspace.wisc.edu/rkamath teaching philosophy • • • • • • build intuition real world examples stuff you can relate to interesting and entertaining value-add material “am I going to fail because of you?” http://mywebspace.wisc.edu/rkamath about the discussion section • discussion questions – 6 possible questions to answer, each due different week; must do 3 of them (~2-3 page responses); see handout – can only submit 1 after 2nd Exam – due at beginning of class; we will discuss the topic during class • quizzes (due by 10pm on Wednesdays; no make-ups!) • group time (more on that later) http://mywebspace.wisc.edu/rkamath about the discussion section • I’m here to help you with your questions.
