SpongeBob NOpants?
Whenever you’re having a conversation and something dirty or inappropriate
comes up and there are children you do what’s called “Ear Muffs”. You do this by
covering the child’s ears and continuing the conversation with out them hearing. Would if
you didn’t have to do that? Would if you could keep the inappropriate funny jokes in the
conversation without the child even noticing? But how could you do that? Nickelodeons
SpongeBob square pants found a way to insert adult jokes into the script so it will still be
enjoyable for adults who are stuck on the couch with their children. Turns out it works,
and more and more adults are tuning in everyday.
Duh!
Lets start with the more obvious things. SpongeBob live in Bikini Bottom. A bikini
is a two-piece swimsuit for usually women; the bottom goes over the pubic area of the
female. SpongeBob lives in there? With Mr. Krabs… the fiery red man with bumps down
his neck, which kind of looks like that one STD. What’s that called? Oh yeah crabs.
Coincidence? He owns the Krusty Krab, ewe, where Squidward works as a cashier. Now
he’s a site to see, hopefully I don’t have to explain. Still blank? Draw a picture of just his
face then get back to me. Done? Good. PENIS!!
Why would a child’s show want to include adult jokes for the pleasure of adults?

America is a money thriving world. Money makes every decision for every
company. At least every company wishing to succeed in this economy. One of the main
ways to advance in this economy is to gather and attract more people to your product. In
the case of SpongeBob they want both the adults and children to want to watch the show.
If they enjoy it they will continue to watch it and buy things related to it. For examples
special episodes on DVD and even specific channel purchases for the show On-Demand.
In 2005 SpongeBob The Movie was awarded Best Family Feature Film in Animation.
Children sure as hell don’t get on the computer and rank movies so who do you think
ranked it? The parents. This movie made the SpongeBob corporation over 80 million
dollars. If it wasn’t enjoyable for adults how much money would be made? If I don’t
want to pay to see a movie I just wait 3 or 4 months till it comes to TV and DVD.
Sea Porn?
There are many different types of sexual encounters that you wouldn’t want your
kids to see; porn is definitely one of them. You especially don’t want them to stumble
upon it on TV. That’s why TV created “Parental Control”, you can block: My Bare Lady,
Forest Hump, Honey I blew up my tits, and many other “movies” you wouldn’t like for
you child to experience. When you set your parental controls you don’t think that a
station like Nickelodeon could ever house something like this, so you leave it open for
children. SpongeBob is on and your kids are enjoying fun laughs with the sea creatures.
It’s the Shoe Lace episode! Suddenly the screen turns to SpongeBob wide eyes staring at
a TV screen. Showing a quick glimpse of the screen you se a sea anemone swinging
around almost like it’s dancing. Alright. Not so strange, but wait SpongeBob eying closer

and closer on the sea creature and Gary slides in. Quickly SpongeBob changes the
channel and begins rambling to Gary, embarrassed. Hmmmm now what does that sound
like? Have you ever been walked in on or walked in on someone watching porn.
Shocking, and a little bit awkward. The situation is a lot like what happens between
SpongeBob and Gary.
Who Cares?
The competitive society of America causes companies to do whatever they can to
get ahead in the economy. In this case SpongeBob is using adult jokes to attract a variety
of age groups for their production. Getting more people to watch their show for different
reasons increases their income and profits. Therefore sending that company higher on the
totem poll. But in America profits are never good enough; things can always be better,
that’s how you become successful. SpongeBob is a very successful company in this
aspect. The show was already popular in the beginning, but they continue to work to
make it better and more enjoyable to everyone.
Don’t Drop The Soap!
Everyone’s heard the saying; don’t drop the soap. Relating to anal rape that
occurs in the prison showers. What does this have to do with SpongeBob you ask? More
than you think. Gary, SpongeBob’s cute and harmless pet snail gets really dirty and
refuses to take a bath, so SpongeBob is trying to figure out a way to get him in the tub.
Already a little creepy… Eventually he tells Gary to follow him in to the bathroom;
there’s treasure in there. He follows SpongeBob into the bathroom. SpongeBob reaches

into the tub and grabs to bars of soap and sets them in front of Gary. “Don’t drop them!”
He says and winks at Gary. Uhhhh. WTF. What happens if Gary drops the soap? Is he
going to butt rape him right there? As it being a common adult joke, kids would never
realize that’s what SpongeBob meant.
Inappropriate for children?
This is why they let their kids continue to watch the show. The jokes are
ambiguous and smooth, so that only a quick minded adult would catch them, then
understand the meaning. Children though only know jokes like knock and why did the
chicken cross the road. The swiftness of the jokes doesn’t disturb the children’s show, but
keeps the parents engaged. Cha Ching!
Give it to me!
“Lets get it on”, the wise words of Marvin Gaye. Advising his woman and just
have sex with him already, he wants to get it on. He’s not the only one! SpongeBob is
feeling some action from Sandy at the Goo Lagoon! SpongeBob goes into a dressing
room to change into his swimsuit. Sandy waiting outside yells in to SpongeBob, “Are you
ready yet?” Inside SpongeBob is getting undressed and answers, “Yes Sandy, I most
certainly am ready… READY TO GET IT ON!”I know what you’re thinking, okay, so
what he meant something else, but did he? SpongeBob and Sandy have had unresolved
sexual tension for a while. The Karate Choppers episode was full of unstoppable urges.
Being banned from Karate with Sandy by Mr. Krabs all SpongeBob could think about
was doing it (Karate) with Sandy. They eventually got so addicted to playing with each

other it became unhealthy. After SpongeBob tells Sandy the horrible news they decide go
on a no karate picnic. The whole time their minds keep wandering trying not to think
about karate, but can't help but wanting to do it right then. Sounds a little bit like trying
to tell a teenage boy with raging hormones he can’t have sex with his hot sluty
cheerleader girlfriend. Not going to happen.
Mother Nature
What thinks it’s sneaky, causes headaches, and is obvious it its execution,
Plankton. Also a women’s menstrual period, the most terrible, painfully annoying part of
a growing females life. The little bugger swoops in, causes a little trouble then eventually
goes away. This situation is exactly what Plankton does to Mr. Krab, trying to steal his
Krabby Patty formula. Squidward vocally agrees, when Planktons plan come into action
Squidward warns Mr. Krabs, “It’s that time of the month”. Plankton represents the hated
blood flow of a women’s reproductive system. Another things kids don’t understand, well
because most of them haven’t experienced the hell we call puberty yet. Lucky them.
So lets face in the common innuendo is true, sex sells! The more adults jokes you
put in a TV show obvious or not, the more popular it becomes with the mature crowd.
Creating this interest for the parents of children leads to more sales and more view rates.
Beyond that the money and progress the company is making brings them to the top and
above many other companies in the TV industry.
