Concepts related to communication, cultural awareness, critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration with health care professionals, health-illness continuum, ethics, and health trends in the 21st century through the advance of technology are presented. Students will examine the impact the technology has had on their life as well as their behaviors as a consumer and/or provider. Enhance students’ ability to assess technology Course Objectives: Explore the meaning of technologies — origins, developments, and societal impact. Be exposed to technology uses, advantages, and disadvantages. Conduct research using library and electronic media sources. Engage in critical thinking and problem-solving regarding assessment of technology. Goal 2. Develop and promote student teamwork Learn about team dynamics. Participate in team activities.
