Objectives
5-14 ICT
S1
• Had to have strong links to 5-14 Doc, Levels / Strands
• Had to be fun, skills based, pupil centred and encourage independent
learning whilst allowing peer support
• Had to be progressive but offer variation in the tasks using different
applications
• Had to be achievable and challenging to meet the needs of all pupils
• Had to be pupil pace independent – pressure free but give ownership
of recording their own progress
Description
Keywords
• Had to be assessable using 5-14 Level's and include retention of
evidence folio
• It was decided to offer ICT to S1 in the Lower School. In order not to duplicate work completed by other
departments in the school or by associated primary schools, it was decided to audit current practice and
develop a themed approach focussing on the 5-14 outcomes for Information and Communications
Technology.
