• Please be mindful of the expectations for
classroom discussions that we set up the
second day of class.
• For this discussion, try to make more use of
specific examples from the text and use the
terminology that we have studied in your
analysis and thoughts.

– What archetype/category can we place this
narrator (if applicable)?
– How does the reliability affect the plot and/or
theme development?

• How limited are his/her perceptions and what
contributes to these limitations? Consider
environment, age, intellect, and/or awareness.

– Verbal- sarcasm (develops character/narrator)
– Dramatic- the audience knows something that the
characters do not (thus creating suspense)

unexpected in the environment they are presented
