Who can go on the trip?
1) Students who have STAMINA. This is a high energy trip!!! We are ON THE
GO!!! If you get tired easily or just like to generally hang out and
relax…this may not be the trip for you.
2) Students who are PASSIONATE about learning . Students who love history.
This is an academic trip. An educational trip. It’s fun and
exciting…but it is a HISTORY trip. So, if you do not like history…this
may not be the trip for you.
3) Students who are RESPONSIBLE—who display good academic behavior
and MATURE classroom behavior.
We are traveling across the country—on planes, boats, buses, and
trains—to countless historic sites, through major U.S. cities. So, if you
are not a mature, responsible, respectful student…this may not be the
trip for you.
4) Going on this trip is a privilege earned. If we see behaviors during
the year that indicate that this trip is not for you due to a lack of the
aforementioned behaviors, you will lose your spot and someone from
the wait list will take your place.
So…if you think you would like to go on the trip, you need to be sure
that you can commit to the following trip mission statement…
Eastern Seaboard Tour Mission Statement
As a student traveler on the LTMS Eastern Seaboard trip I have a passion for learning.
I feel that this trip will allow me to further my knowledge of U.S. history and deepen
my understanding of the content of a subject that I truly enjoy by visiting historical
sites and museums first hand. I understand that these are experiences that I should
not take for granted and, if given the opportunity to attend, I will uphold behavior
expectations set by my teachers and represent myself, my school, and my community
in the most positive light.
