TUESDAY, MARCH 17
 AP Sign Ups/Signature
 Test Corrections
 On your own paper, write the answers to the ones you missed and
page number for reference in the textbook for that topic.
 Sharing answers of any kind is considered cheating and both parties
will not be eligible for any curve, bonus, make-up work, or general
goodwill by me FOREVER.
 Period 6 CCOT we will work on in class Wednesday, due Thursday.
 Timed CCOT on Friday (topic will come from Period 6)
 Notes on Ch. 32 are due Friday
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18
 FIRST: Go online to the Blue and Gold Newspaper and follow the link to fill out your NCAA
March Madness bracket. It’s what all the cool kids are doing!
 Good luck beating me!!
 SECOND: In your groups, you will be working on your CCOT Period 6
themes. If your group is working on anything else, these will be due TODAY.
 Make sure that you know at least 2-3 countries from each region and that you have at least 2-3 things under each theme.
 Social: gender roles, religion, culture
 Economic: Exports, imports, types of economic systems
 Political: revolutions, government types, heads of state, etc.
 Notes on Ch. 32 are due Friday
 Due to excessive absences on Friday, the timed essay will be Monday.

 Turn in your CCOT Period 6 work.
 CCOT Review: Rubric and format (This document can be found under my
“Resources tab….scroll down to “Writing Resources” and download file “CCOT
Viewing”
 Practice Outline in Groups (SEE NEXT SLIDE)
 Notes on Ch. 32 are due Friday

GROUP CCOT PRACTICE
 In your groups or by yourself, you are going to revisit your CCOT assignment from last
week. You will turn in one paper per group, so make sure you are all in a consensus.
 1. Using the prompt, draw out a quick timeline of relevant events that you
would use as evidence in your essay. PUT CONTINUITIES ON TOP AND
CHANGES ON THE BOTTOM.
 2. Using the graphic organizer you should already have, fill out the chart
which will serve as a planning guide to writing your outline.
 3. Using one of the two formats, outline each paragraph (i.e. what evidence
would you put in each?)
 4. Write your thesis statement.
 5. Review the rubric. Does your outline meet the requirements from the
rubric?

present in one of the following regions.
 Western Europe
 East Asia
 Eastern Europe
 Latin America

 7th: Analyze the changes and continuities in the forces of revolution and
other sources of political innovation from 1914 to present in one of the
following regions.

 Login to your Get A Five account
 As soon as your in, take the Practice Test (you may put headphones on to block out
annoying classmates…..I won’t say names).
 When you are finished with Section 1: Go ahead and submit to get your MC scores. You
will NOT be able to go back to do the FR at this time. We’ll work around that.
 *Anyone needing to make-up a test or the CCOT (who is not in NHS) can do so
tomorrow in class.
 Homework: Ch. 33 notes due Monday

 March Madness: “Most Influential Figure In History”
 Make a list of 64 people with AT LEAST 6 from EACH TIME PERIOD
 Include both men AND women, positive AND negative figures
 Randomly place them on your bracket
 Round 1: For the first 32 match-ups, pick a winner between the two
people
 Round 2: Do the same as round 1
 Homework: Ch. 33 notes due Monday
MONDAY, MARCH 30
 Turn in your Ch. 33
 Good news! That was your last one. I will give you study questions from the last 3 chapters by Wednesday.
 Round 3: “Sweet Sixteen” Pick the next 8 winners w/ short explanation why you chose
them.
 Round 4: “Elite Eight” Same as round 3
 Round 5: “Final Four” Pick the final matchup by listing pros/cons as well as
characteristics/accomplishments for the two contestants.
 Championship: Pick your ultimate winner and give a detailed response as to why they
win as “Most Influential Figure in History”
 Tuesday: You will be getting your project (Review Portfolio) and we will
be starting “Schindler’s List”
TUESDAY, MARCH 31
 Turn in your March Madness brackets…..It is the last day of March!
 Review Portfolio (Project) directions
 Schindler’s List (viewing questions to come)
 Wednesday you will be given study questions for the final test to cover Ch. 31-
36. (These will also be posted online, in case you lose yours over spring
break).
 You do not have to take mandatory notes on Ch. 34-36 but you still need to
read the chapters!
