AP Calculus Chapter 2: Limits Study Guide
I recommend reading through each section and checking your understanding with the preliminary questions.
Look over the first quiz on limits. Can you evaluate limits numerically, graphically, and algebraically? Do you
know how to prove a function continuous or discontinuous? Can you find vertical and horizontal asymptotes of
a rational function? Can you apply the Intermediate Value Theorem? Do you understand the Squeeze Theorem
and remember the 2 limits we learned from the Theorem?
Below are some problems for you to practice. We will review in class Friday and Monday. Additionally, there
will be tutorial after school on Monday. Our test will be Tuesday and will consist of AP style problems. Don’t
underestimate it!

Free Response Questions:
Show all of your work and clearly label any functions, graphs, tables, or other objects that you use. On the AP
test, your work will be scored on the correctness and completeness of your methods, as well as your actual
answer. You will usually not be given credit for answers that don’t include supporting work.
