Holy cranoly, super detailed and amazing! I think most of the poems will work for relation to Fantastic Flying Books, Velveteen Rabbit, and To Kill a Mockingbird thematically. This unit calls for learners to use and take a variety of lenses / angles in the analysis performance tasks the unit’s daily activities call for from our student readers. The unit contains scaffolded levels of skills practice related to poetry with rigorous analysis and connections to theme and author’s intent. Would also incorporate Ethos, Pathos, Logos well, as it asks several questions about that as well. The expectations of activities and engagement tasks ( engagement with the readings, viewings, writing tasks, discussions, etc.) are GREAT!
