I am the King of Syria but have a French “advisor” and
ambassador from France. Any decision I make regarding
my country has to be approved by him on behalf of the
French government.

Last year I was part of Dutch military force that landed on
this island to punish its ruler for supporting piracy. Since
then we have executed the King, established a Dutch
governor and now I am part of the Dutch military here to
control it.

I am the ruler of a tribe in northern Afghanistan and have
just signed a trade deal with the Russian government.
Unfortunately the British ambassador has just voiced his
objection to the deal. He argues that agreements between us
and his government gave the British Empire exclusive
trading rights with my tribe.
