P.O.E.: * The region of Australia, Oceania, and Antarctica is one of the most diverse in the world.

Objective(s): Students will study the physical geography of Oceania.

Activity: 1. Students will by answering questions from the text - Chapter 32 Review . 2. Notes and discussion.

Materials: Textbook, Atlas, United Streaming, Internet, PowerPoint(s), handouts, etc.

Evaluation: Observation.

P.O.E.: * Oceania includes the tropical islands of the Pacific, the deserts and reefs of Australia, the mountains, lush valleys, and beaches of New Zealand, and the ice and snow of Antarctica.

Objective(s): Students will examine the climate and vegetation of Oceania.

Activity: 1. Students will make generalizations from viewing climate and vegetation maps from the text/on-line. 2. US – “Geography of the World: Australia, etc. – Land and Resources”.
