DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Admit patient as doctor’s order, identify patient’s needs according to
hierarchy of needs, plan and implement appropriate intervention.
Do bedside nursing care to the patient such as monitoring of vital signs, intake
and output, ryles tube feeding, changing of dressings and others
Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously,IM, through an IV)
according to 10R’s of giving medication
Collect specimens including blood,sputum,stool,urine and send it for medical
analysis
Prepare the patient for various investigations like Ultra Sound,
Echocardiography, CT scan and MRI
Contributes to care planning, involving clients, and demonstrates an
understanding of clients’ rights to make informed decisions
