Read 180 is a research-based reading
intervention program published by Scholastic in
collaboration with Vanderbilt University. Read
180 software provides struggling readers with
intensive, differentiated skills practice, and
instruction that:
› collects data to continually adjust instruction to meet
each student's needs (differentiated instruction)
› offers continuous support and immediate feedback
› is tremendously engaging and motivating with over
100 videos from grade-level science, math, history,
and social studies content areas
› builds phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency,
vocabulary, and comprehension

Read 180's research-proven software
provides differentiated, adjusted
instruction and practice in word study,
vocabulary, fluency, spelling, and
comprehension in four zones:
› Reading Zone
› Word Zone
› Spelling Zone
› Success Zone
The READ 180 Instructional Model provides
a simple way to organize instruction and
classroom activity.
The session begins and ends with wholegroup teacher-directed instruction.
