October News
October is a very busy month in first grade. We
will discuss and complete projects dealing with
Columbus Day, fire safety, Fall and Halloween this
month. We will also begin spelling. Word lists and
homework for each week will be placed into their
homework agenda .
Behavior Charts
Your child should have a monthly behavior chart in
the front pocket of their Monkey Book. Please take
time each evening to review this chart and sign. If
your child has had a great day at school, they will
color the smiley face a color of their choice. If they
had to pull any cards, they will color the box the same
color of the card they are on at the end of the day.
Colors represent the following:
Warning + 1 card =green
2 cards pulled = yellow
3 cards pulled = orange
4 cards pulled = pink
All cards pulled = white
Bring your smile to school for school
pictures!
