KU Maine Lewiston - Early College Program Application
Program Guidelines:
1. All courses at Kaplan University’s Lewiston campus in both on-ground and blended1 formats are available to
second semester high school juniors and all seniors. University prerequisite requirements must be followed.
2. Acceptance is on a “seat available” basis; no seat, section, or course is guaranteed.
3. Eligible students may enroll in no more than 2 courses per term.
4. Admissions requirements are as follows:
a. Completion of the Early College Program Application (this form).
b. Completion of an interview with a KU Maine Admissions Advisor. (Student will be contacted to set up an
interview.)
c. Minimum KU Entrance Assessment Score of 20. (Assessment is taken during the interview. Student has
three attempts to achieve minimum score.)
d. Completion of KU Maine Enrollment Paperwork (Completed during interview).
e. High school transcript (Student brings to interview).
5. Any award of high school credit for early college courses is at the discretion of the student’s high school; it is the
student’s responsibility to apply with his/her high school for any such credit.
Payments:
1. Early College Program students receive a 100% tuition scholarship, including the technology fee.
2. Early College Program students are responsible for paying the $20 enrollment fee at the time of enrollment plus
the cost of textbook(s) when purchased. Students cannot start school until payments for fees and books have
been received.
3. Schools with designated funding to assist students with payments for fees and books must make prior
arrangements with the Business Office.
