Third Sunday of Lent Year C
28th February 2016
The only life worth living is the high-octane life
that is God's. That's because God is life itself
and if we want to enjoy this life then we have
to make sure that we are going for the right
choices. Lent urges us to look at our lifestyle
and to make any necessary adjustments. It's
called repentance!
Texts for this Sunday’s Mass
Genesis 15:5-12.17-18 God enters into a Covenant with Abraham, the
man of faith.
Psalm response: The Lord is my light and my help.
Philippians 3:17-4:1 Christ will transfigure our bodies into copies of his
glorious body.
Luke 9:28-36 As Jesus prayed, the aspect of his face was changed.

READ OF THE MONTH
February 2016
The Road that Leads to Life: Lent and Easter with Pope Francis By: Pope Francis
"While we cross the Lenten 'desert', we keep our gaze fixed upon Easter, which is
the definitive victory of Jesus against the Evil One, against sin and against death.
Now let us enter into the desert without fear, because we are not alone: we are
with Jesus, with the Father and with the Holy Spirit."
Pope Francis takes us on the journey through the season of Lent, a time of special
contemplation, through Holy Week to the time of joy that is Eastertide.
This booklet is available on the window sill near the CTS stand for £1 each during
February.
