You will be designing a square, four-sided tissue box that illustrates four of the main branches of Earth
Science: Geology, Oceanography, Meteorology, and Astronomy.
Materials you will need:
 1 square, four-sided tissue box
 construction or poster paper
 pencils, pens, markers, and/or colored pencils
 scissors
 glue or adhesive to stick paper to tissue box
 textbook or earth science content resource
On the top of the tissue box, label *Branches of Earth Science*, be creative
On each side ‘panel’ of the tissue box, include the following for each branch.
 Branch Name (spelling counts!)
 One picture (can be from magazine, internet, hand-drawn, etc.)
 Definition of branch (include three examples)
Be creative and use the following suggestions:
1. Write neatly and clearly
2. Don’t use white printer paper
3. Complete individually, every box should be unique
4. Cut the paper ‘panels’ as straight as possible: for neatness
5. Use glue instead of tape
6. Ask questions sooner than later
