JOB TITLE: TRAINING OPERATIONS MANAGER
REPORTS TO: MANAGING DIRECTOR
SALARY:up to £35,000
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of all training programmes
including apprenticeships and classroom training for 16-18 apprentices and 19 plus
learners.
In addition the post holder will be a member of the senior management team and
support the Managing Director on shaping the future strategy of the business and
driving through continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities and duties:










Manage a team of WBL Tutors through effective performance management
and internal quality assurance arrangements.
Maintain accurate management information on the progress of individual
learners and the performance of WBL Tutors.
Ensure all WBL Tutors effectively manage their caseload so that all learners
complete their apprenticeship within agreed timescales.
Support Lead WBL Tutor(s) to ensure effective quality assurance
arrangements are in place to meet the criteria of the awarding bodies and
drive through continuous improvement.
Liaise with business development team to ensure appropriate delivery models
are designed and implemented to meet learner’s individual needs and
aspirations.
Plan and implement a range of off-the-job training modules to complement the
training and assessment undertaken within the working environment.
Monitor and analyse early leaver reports and identify any trends that may be
developing.
Research and implement additional apprenticeship framework and bespoke
training programme to enhance and expand ITEC NE’s range of services
Provide one to one coaching and support to all WBL Tutors.
Plan and deliver monthly WBL Tutor training day with focus on performance
review, caseloads, delivery model resource development and standardisation
activities.

Develop teaching and learning methods that promotes independent learning
and e-learning.
Ensure all company policies particularly with regard to equality and diversity,
safeguarding and health and safety are implemented by the operations team.
Establish links with employers to raise the profile of the business and
development partnerships arrangements.
Develop and coach individuals to ensure a high standard of teaching, learning
and assessment is undertaken by all Work Based Learning Tutors.
Liaise with appropriate awarding bodies to implement changes to
apprenticeship frameworks and qualification standards.
