Date and place of birth:
Born on May 7th 1953. in Split, where he finished primary school, secondary school,
High Maritime School and the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split, where he got his
masters degree in maritime management. He is married and father of two children.
Education:

 Post-graduate technical study on the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split. In
March 2008. he got an expert name Master of maritime management

 Leader auditor for ISO
 Chief engineer on ships powered by main propulsion machinery of 3000 kW
propulsion power or more
 Yacht master of the yacht category “B” – up to 500 GT
Employment:
He sailed for 18 years on world wide cargo ships as a chief engineer, until 1989.,
when he started working a shore and soon was promoted to Technical manager.
Firstly he worked as a technical-personnel director in shipping company Jadroplov,
from 1990. until the end of August 1994. On September 1st 1994. he established his
own private shipmanagement company and since then he has been the President
and C.E.O. of the Split Ship Management Ltd.
Split Ship Management LTD. employs 47 employees a shore and about 2000
seamen.
He also worked as a lecturer on the High Maritime School in Split during 1992-1994.,
Marine Engineer Department in the subject Malfunction diagnostics.

He was awarded “The youngest Chief Engineer in Croatia”
He was elected “The best seamen of year the 1981.” in shipping company

Winner of the award of the District Council of the Split District, June 27 th 1986.
