THE WRITING CENTER
• Provides individualized assistance to students
during all stages of the writing process
• Stresses revision and reader feedback
• Develops students’ proofreading and editing
skills
• Furnishes handouts on various aspects of
writing and grammar, including formatting and
style guides (APA, MLA, Turabian, etc.)
THE MATH RESOURCE AREA
• Welcomes students on a walk-in basis
• Provides tutoring for developmental and
credit bearing math and stats courses
• Instructs individuals and small groups
• Provides handouts, videos, and computer
aided assistance
TUTORING
Centralized tutoring under the
umbrella of Instructional Services in a
variety of subjects
i.e. business and science classes
SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION
provides academic support for
students in historically difficult
courses.
• SI participation is voluntary
• Peer tutors lead group study sessions
• SI students’ grades generally exceed the
class average

• Assists with speech delivery skills, and
visual aids, including PowerPoint
• Records student’s presentation and
offers feedback
•Offers in-class workshops and
presentations on the following
