LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Students will explain the causes and effects of the Battle of Fallen
Timbers and terms of the Treaty of Greenville
Besides conflicts and tensions with European countries, Washington was also facing these
issues within the United States. One of most pressing situations involved Native Americans on
the western frontier.
Directions: Examine the following four documents. Using these sources, you and your partner
will complete the questions on the battle and resulting treaty. Then, you will collaborate
together to create a PowerPoint identifying the causes of the battle, its effects (at least 5) as
well as a summary of the battle and treaty.
