Be creative with your ideas if you have an idea but aren’t sure bounce the idea off me and we will try to come up with something
The following must be included in your experiment
Propose a question: Do you think “A” will cause or have an effect on “B”
Hypothesis: I thin k “A” will happen because of “B”
Variables
(independent and dependent…see below)
Materials: Make a list of materials with exact measurements when needed
Procedure: Step by step directions of the experiment (be specific)
Data (table and graph): Any tables or graphs you made based on the results
Results: Explanation of the tables and graphs. I did “A” and “B” is what happened
Conclusion: This is a summary of your whole experiment. 5-10 (or more if needed)
COMPLETE sentences. You must include pictures in your lab report to prove that you actually did the experiment. You could also video the experiment as well, or use stop motion. Make sure you are present in the photos or video.
Example experiment:
Does the type of food I feed my plants affect the amount they will grow?
Variable: any factor that might affect the behavior of an experimental set up
Food, light, water.
Independent variable : a factor that is changed or manipulated during the experiment
Type and/or the amount of food
Dependent variable: the factor that depends on the independent variable…
Growth of the plant
