Valentine’s Day
• 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 - 8 Love never fails; but if
there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done
away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if
there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 For
we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10
but when the perfect comes, the partial will be
done away. 11 When I was a child, I used to
speak like a child, think like a child, reason
like a child; when I became a man, I did away
with childish things. 12 For now we see in a
mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I
know in part, but then I will know fully just as
I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith,
hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest
of these is love.
“Love from your
Valentine.”

your love. My God, the children of the
earth find refuge in the shelter of
your wings.
• Psalm 40:12 - Your merciful love and
your truth will always guard me.
• Psalm 13:5-6 - But I have trusted in
Your steadfast love; my heart shall
rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing to
the Lord, because He has dealt
bountifully with me.
• Psalm 19:20 - The Lord came to my
support. He set me free in the
open, and rescued me, because He
loves me.

• Romans 8:35, 37-39 - Who shall separate us
from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation,
or distress, or persecution, or famine, or
nakedness, or peril, or sword?.... No, in
all these things we are more than
conquerors through Him who loved us.
For I am sure that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor things
present, nor things to come, nor powers,
nor height, nor depth, nor anything else
in all creation, will be able to separate us
from the love of God in Christ Jesus our
Lord
• Psalm 40:9-10 - 9 I have proclaimed the
good news of righteousness In the
great assembly; Indeed, I do not
restrain my lips, O LORD, You
Yourself know. 10 I have not hidden
Your righteousness within my heart;
I have declared Your faithfulness and
Your salvation; I have not concealed
Your lovingkindness and Your truth
From the great assembly.
1 Cor. 1:18 –
For the message of the cross
is foolishness to those who
are perishing…
• Acts 26:22-26 - 22 "So, having obtained help
from God, I stand to this day testifying
both to small and great, stating nothing
but what the Prophets and Moses said was
going to take place; 23 that the Christ was
to suffer, and that by reason of His
resurrection from the dead He would be the
first to proclaim light both to the Jewish
people and to the Gentiles." 24 While Paul
was saying this in his defense, Festus said
in a loud voice, "Paul, you are out of your
mind! Your great learning is driving you
mad." 25 But Paul said, "I am not out of my
mind, most excellent Festus, but I utter
words of sober truth.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the
gospel of Christ, for it is the
power of God to salvation
for everyone who believes,
for the Jew first and also for
the Greek.

Now hope does not
disappoint, because the love

our Lord, nor of me His
prisoner, but share with me
in the sufferings for the
gospel according to the
power of God,
• 2 Timothy 2:24-26 - The Lord's bondservant must not be quarrelsome, but
be kind to all, able to teach, patient
when wronged, 25 with gentleness
correcting those who are in
opposition, if perhaps God may grant
them repentance leading to the
knowledge of the truth, 26 and they
may come to their senses and escape
from the snare of the devil, having
been held captive by him to do his
will. NASU
• 2 Timothy 4:1-2 - I solemnly
charge you in the presence of
God and of Christ Jesus, who
is to judge the living and the
dead, and by His appearing
and His kingdom: 2 preach
the word; be ready in season
and out of season; reprove,
rebuke, exhort, with great
patience and instruction. NASU
John 3:17 For God did not send His

And that's the Valentine's Day
Message …
God really does love those who
are lost.
Valentine's Day for the Believer
should remind us to be willing to
Die to self for the sake of others.
• John 15:13 - "Greater love
has no one than this, than
to lay down one’s life for
his friends."
• 1 John 3:16 - By this we know love, because
He laid down His life for us. And we also
ought to lay down our lives for the
brethren.
• John 15:13 - Greater love has no one than
this, than to lay down one’s life for his
friends.
• Philippians 2:3-5 - Do nothing from
selfishness or empty conceit, but with
humility of mind regard one another as
more important than yourselves; 4 do not
merely look out for your own personal
interests, but also for the interests of
others. 5 Have this attitude in yourselves
which was also in Christ Jesus,
Galatians 2:20 –
I have been crucified with
Christ; it is no longer I who
live, but Christ lives in me;
and the life which I now live
in the flesh I live by faith in
the Son of God, who loved
me and gave Himself for me.
Galatians 5:24 And those who are Christ’s
have crucified the flesh with
its passions and desires.
Ephesians 5:2 –
And walk in love, as Christ
also has loved us and given
Himself for us, an offering
and a sacrifice to God for a
sweet-smelling aroma.
Valentine's Day for the Believer is
an every day holiday. And the first
one we give our love to is our God.
• John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that
He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him should not perish
but have everlasting life.
• 1 John 4:8-9 - He who does not love does not

of God was manifested toward us, that God
has sent His only begotten Son into the

• 1 John 4:16 - And we have known and
believed the love that God has for us.
God is love, and he who abides in love
abides in God, and God in him.
• 1 John 5:3 - For this is the love of God,
that we keep His commandments. And
His commandments are not
burdensome.
• 1 John 3:23 - And this is His
commandment: that we should believe
on the name of His Son Jesus Christ
and love one another, as He gave us
commandment.
1 Thessalonians 4:9 -9 Now as
to the love of the brethren,
you have no need for anyone
to write to you, for you
yourselves are taught by
God to love one another;
