Formulas you must memorize:
Perimeter of any Polygon = Sum of lengths of all sides
Square: P = 4S,
Area of a: Square: A = S2 ;
Rectangle: A = LW,
Trapezoid: A = ½h(b1 + b2),
Distance:
Circle(circumference) C = 2πr
Rectangle: P = 2(L + W) = 2L + 2W,
d = rt;
Triangle, A = ½(bh);
Circle: A = πr2
Speed: r = d/t

Your textbook – remember that many odd # problems are in the back of the book. Go to
pages
for extra problems to practice
Go through the Skills Handbook on p798 -813 to keep your computation skills up to speed
Your workbook and notebook. Review Assignments and worked examples
Past tests, quizzes, assignments. Review and do corrections. Know them well!
Practice by justifying steps for nearly any problem you solve.

Your teacher! – In addition to your paying attention in class, I’m often available for extra
help at recess and after school. Just ask.
Very Important! Review, practice and study a little bit every day. Pay special
attention to areas you may have experienced some difficulty with..
 Review all Properties and Identities learned (See p 746) and practice justifying
all steps.
 Complete the worksheet given All work must be done neatly on loose leaf,
SHOW ALL WORK even if it they are multiple choice questions!
 This will be a homework grade, Due Mon Jan 4th 2016.
Pay attention
to procedure and detail.
Most important!
Do your best!!

