Introduction
• Paxton Company is a marine distributor
• They service commercial and recreational
boating industries, specializing in products
for boat builders, boat repair yards, and
boat dealers
• The organization is divided into different
departments
Problem
• Paxton Company is becoming
unproductive because territorial managers
are not working together
• The lack of communication between
departments is hurting the company.

• Better manage meetings
• Reduce suboptimization within the

• Managers should be forced to go on a
retreat where they will develop team

Instead of bringing managers closer together, the retreat could have the opposite effect, causing communication to
