I am submitting my resume and cover letter in response to the Lab Assistant position opening at
The Dow Chemical Company. I have a strong educational background and several life science
experiences such as biology, microbiology and biochemistry, which I feel uniquely qualify me
for this job opportunity. I am currently a Lab Technician at Saginaw Valley State University
while simultaneously completing my Bachelor of Science in Biology degree.
My education and professional background has provided me extensive technical and professional
experience. For instance, in my Internship at Dow Corning, I played a vital role in establishing a
manipulation scheme model that took scientific data and processed it to make sure there was no
difference from the exact true number and was closely involved in designing the assessment
system now utilized.
While currently working as a Lab Technician at Saginaw Valley State University, I learned the
technical support required to enable the laboratory to function effectively whilst adhering to
correct procedures and health and safety guidelines. Through my education, I have gained
experience in techniques used to test, measure, record, and analyze the efficacy of various lab
experiments. This is an important role in the foundation stages of research and development,
scientific analysis, and investigation.
