Title: Soda consumption should be avoided.
Purpose: To persuade the audience not to consume soda.
Introduction: 1. Ask the audience questions to create interest
2. Introduce my thesis: Not consuming soda makes good sense for us as
an individual and as a society.
3. Preview the body: A. Soda’s unhealthy ingredients
B. Soda’s many harmful effects
C. Solution to avoid soda consumption
Body:

 What Doctors have to say about soda
Topic 2: Soda’s many harmful effects
 Regular and diet sodas wreak havoc on your body
 External side effects: weight gain
 Internal side effects
Topic 3: Solution to avoid soda consumption
 Drink in moderation
 Adding a special tax
 Changing personal habits

Conclusion: Will you help lead the way to avoid drinking soda? Keep in mind the effects you do
not want your body to endure. Next time you want to pick up a can of soda think of the healthier
choice. Always try your best to avoid soda.
