There are many different types of parastism.
This powerpoint tells most of the types.


A parasite is an organism that gains energy
from a host.
Some examples of parasites are, fleas, ticks,
hookworms, and Mites

Endoparasites are the parasites that live
inside the host for example Hookworms.
Hookworms are endoparasites. Endoparasite
feed off the inside body to get energy.
Hookworms

Ectoparasites are parasite that live on the
outside body For example some mites are
ectoparasites. Ectoparasites feed or grows
from the energy of the host.

Epiparasites is a parasite that feeds off of
another parasite. An example of a epiparsite
is a flea living on a dog and feeding off of it

Parasitoids are organisms that make the host
die as a result of parasitism. For example a
dog being killed by parasitism.
