Morning Has Broken 1. Morning has broken like the first morning

Morning Has Broken
1. Morning has broken
like the first morning,
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird,
Praise for the singing!
Praise for the morning!
Praise for them springing
fresh from the Word!
2. Sweet the rain’s newfall
sunlit from heaven,
Like the first dewfall on the first grass.
Praise for the sweetness
of the wet garden,
Sprung in completeness
where His feet pass.
3. Mine is the sunlight!
Mine is the morning,
Born of the one light Eden saw play!
Praise with elation,
Praise ev’ry morning,
God’s recreation of the new day!
“…be filled with the Spirit, speaking to
one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing and making
melody in your heart to the Lord,
giving thanks always for all things to
God the Father in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ.”
(Eph. 5: 18b – 20)
His Name is Wonderful
His name is wonderful,
His name is wonderful,
His name is wonderful,
Jesus my Lord,
He is the mighty king,
Master of everything,
His name is wonderful,
Jesus, my Lord

He’s the great shepherd,
the Rock of all Ages,
Almighty God is He,
Bow down before Him,
Love and adore Him,
His name is wonderful,
Jesus, my Lord.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,
peace, longsuffering, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
self-control. Against such there is no
law. And those who are Christ’s have
crucified the flesh with its passions and
desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us
also walk in the Spirit.”
(Gal. 5: 22-25)
Spirit of God, Descend Upon My Heart
1. Spirit of God,
descend upon my heart,
Wean it from earth,
through all its pulses move,
Stoop to my weakness,
mighty as Thou art,
And make me love Thee
as I ought to love.
2. Hast Thou not bid us love Thee,
God and King?
All, all Thine own-soul,
heart and strength and mind,
I see Thy cross,
there teach my heart to cling,
O let me seek Thee, and O let me find.
3. Teach me to feel that
Thou art always nigh,
Teach me the struggles
of the soul to bear,
To check the rising doubt,
the rebel sigh,
Teach me the patience
of unanswered prayer.
4. Teach me to love Thee
as Thine angels love,
One holy passion filling all my frame,
The baptism of the
heav’n descended Dove,
My heart an altar
and Thy love the flame.
